Discovery Cove: A hub of adventures
Discovery Cove is a theme park in Orlando, Florida, owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. It is SeaWorld Orlando’s and Aquatica Orlando’s sibling park. Visitors can engage with various marine species, including bottlenose dolphins, at the park.
Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort where you and your family may swim with dolphins, snorkel with tens of thousands of tropical fish and rays, hand-feed hundreds of exotic birds, and relax on white-sand beaches. You may organize your experience at your own pace because there are no lineups throughout the park.
Attractions:
Swimming with a dolphin is the main attraction at Discovery Cove, where guests may “speak, touch, play, and swim” with bottlenose dolphins.
A free-flight aviary with over 250 tropical birds, including parrots, toucans, and over 30 other exotic bird species, is located in the park. The heated Tropical River meanders through the aviary and around the park, allowing visitors to float past Discovery Cove’s beaches, waterfalls, and rainforest vistas. The Tropical River feeds the park’s freshwater resort pool.
The Grand Reef opened in June 2011 and added to the park’s size. This reef was needed since the original reef had a recurrent saltwater leak affecting the groundwater. Thus Freshwater Oasis was installed in its place.
