Walking through trials of Apopka Station, West Orange Trail
The West Orange Trail in Florida is approx. 35 km long rail-trail situated nearby Orange County Parks and Recreation. The trail passes through Oakland, Winter Garden, and Apopka, built on old railroad alignments. According to its location, the west of the West Orange Trail, the South Lake-Lake Minneola Scenic Trail was connected to the trail in 2007.

There are four dominant stations on the West Orange Trail that make available services such as parking, restroom facilities, bike racks, drinking fountains, and many more. All have picnic tables and playgrounds and some with concession stands. Bike and skate rental are available at the Killarney Station. Apart from this, the Chapin Station has a basketball court and tennis courts. Parking possibilities are also provided at seven outposts between the stations, some with drinking fountains.
According to the park guidelines, the trails are open from sunrise to sunset. It would be best to carry a cell phone to communicate and access trail maps. The most significant precaution is to be aware of your surroundings. Do not use headphones while traveling through the trails. Underage 16, helmets are required by law for all bicyclists and should be used by everyone. Besides these requirements, bicycles must adhere to all State of Florida traffic laws and obey all traffic controls and signals.

The West Orange Trail is paved through the entire route. The trail has many street crossings yet has remained away from traffic. The West Orange trail is available for walking, running, and bike riding.
